Our Next Production is Absent Friends by Alan Ayckbourn

One of Alan Ayckbourn’s funny but thought-provoking plays will be performed at Felixstowe Methodist Church@Trinity, Hamilton Road on the 15th, 16th and 17th of May at 7.30pm.

Set in the 1970’s, a group of friends hold a reunion tea party for Colin, whom they feel needs help getting over his grief for his drowned fiancée, whom they never met. They wonder what they will say to him but, when he arrives, their tensions contrast with his cheerful relaxation. He reminisces and offers them advice on their relationships but does more harm than good.

Tickets cost £10 and are available by calling Anne on 07869 029708 or on the door. Profits from the play are being donated to Living Grief which is the bereavement service run by St Elizabeth Hospice, based in Ipswich.

This amateur production of ‘Absent Friends’ is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
