I had a conversation with Rob, my son. He works at University East London in Arts which also has a school of architecture. When I told him about our commitment to nil carbon footprint, he said that is a mammoth task and just started recommending various trusts and funding groups who support charities, faith groups, community projects and so on and groups committed to reducing carbon emissions. He was awarded £1,000 for a community project. Something like setting up a café in Trinity could qualify in many ways. Rob also suggested that schools of architecture are always on the look-out for projects for their students. He suggests that this would be a great project for final year students and result in ideas, backed up by how to achieve them. All overseen of course by the tutors.
